Computer and Mobile Devices

    For today's blog we're gonna talk and learn about computer and mobile devices. A computer or personal computer (PC) is a mobile computer or desktop that can execute all of its input, processing, output, and storage functions independently and is designed to be used by a single person at a time. A mobile devices is a personal devices that is designed to be readily moved from one location to another.

    A desktop, often known as a desktop computer, is a computer that is designed to be used in a fixed place, with all of its components fitting on or under a desk or table. A laptop, usually known as a notebook computer, is a small, portable computer with a screen on the lid and a keyboard on the bottom. A tablet is a touch-screen mobile computer that is tiny and light. 

    Next, a terminal is a computer with limited computing capability that allows users to send and receive data from a server, also known as a host computer. A thin client is a terminal that matches a desktop but has fewer features and components. To record purchases, handle credit or debit cards, and update inventory, most retail businesses use a POS system. An ATM (automated teller machine) is a self-service banking terminal that uses a network to connect to a host computer.

    A smartphone is a mobile devices with a calendar, an address book, a calculator, a notepad, games, a browser, and a variety of other applications. Touch screens are common on cellphones. Some phones include a built-in small keyboard on the front or a keyboard that slides in and out from behind the phone instead of or in addition to an on-screen keyboard. 

    Next. a digital camera also a mobile devices, such as a smart digital camera, point-and-shoot camera, or SLR camera, is a mobile device that allows users to capture photos and store the shot images digitally. A portable media player (PMP) also is a mobile device that can be used to store, manage, play, and view digital material. A digital media player, commonly known as a streaming media player, is a device that streams digital material from a computer or network to a television, projector, or other entertainment device in the house.
